Wow, I have not done a journal entry in such a long time. It feels good to write another one.

I am like most males in their 20's as I am a gamer. When the PlayStation 3 first came out I took my collection of PlayStation 2 games and the console and I sold them. Among the games were many favorites, like SOCOM 1, 2. 3, and Combined Assault. There was also Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain. Ahh, the classics. Well, I have gotten my hands on my first M rated game once again. It was a game I loved to death and had troubles parting with, and that being game was SOCOM 3. I have it again, and play it with renewed love.

So, what are your favorite military games? Old, new, games that you have reconciled and play with renewed love, are all most definitely welcome. Bring on your favorite games, militaryfreaks.

I am sorry for my leave of absence, as I have been in a coma and have come out of it recently. I would like to thank all of the members who have stayed through this period of inactivity.

I will change the group settings so if I am not able to approve the submissions, the contributors will be able to vote and approve submissions. This change will not be effective immediately.

Contributors, if you have comments or concerns about the changes I will make, either comment or send me a note.

Again, I am sorry, and do not worry, the group will be up and active again.

Kind regards,

I have a question. I am mostly doing futuristic stuff and I see the rules. But what about "schizophrenic tech"? I mean things where futuristic and old pieces are combined into a weird mix of High Tech and obsolete scrap? Or when both very old and very futuristic military hardware is present in the same picture?

If you dont have anything against it I would like to affiliate our groups.

My newborn group is specialised on high detailed military illustrations (traditional or digital drawings and paintings) and it will host only the finest deviations while gathering some of the most talented artists.

I sent the request. You have to confirm it. In fact it would be better to send an affiliation request from your side if you have some voting procedure and some administrators are absent or if the request expires in the meanwhile.

Following my near death experience, I healed. Then, I had a run in with the law, and that preoccupied my time. Thus I am thinking about handing my lead onto someone else or something.

But tell why during your near death expirience, lot of works been accepted but mine again and again? Was there someone else?

I just got on yesterday and accepted some works. I am sorry for any trouble I have caused. Also, I did not know about the law troubles until I got a knock on my door one morning with a warrant for my arrest. As far as I know, there is not someone else.

by ~atomicrick, May 11, 2013, 11:42:53 AM Journals / Personal Political Correctness is Karl Marx's Last Laugh at America
The politically correct, or PC movement here in America today has some dark roots. It mirrors the process begun in the Soviet Union after the November 1917 revolution and sprung from the Marxist inspired Institute of Social Research founded in 1923 in Frankfurt, Germany by a wealthy young Marxist named Felix Weil. Those events, and the agendas they espouse, are reverberating through America today and have the unspoken goal of repressing our liberty. Being PC is a disease, a disease of ideology and ideologies are totalitarian. Ideologies seek to unify beliefs as defined by the ideology itself. The repression of free speech and free thought in America today are the first steps toward Marxist tyranny and oppression tomorrow.
The Institute for Social Research, also known as the Frankfort School, merged Freudian thought with Marxism in the 1930's and named it Critical Theory. Women's, black and gay studies departments in today's colleges and universities, Feminism and the assault on Christianity all have their origins in Critical Theory. Political correctness is its most visible weapon. Phillip Atkinson, in his "A Study of our Decline" defines political correctness as the 'communal tyranny that erupted in the 1980s. It was a spontaneous declaration that particular ideas, expressions and behaviour, which were then legal, should be forbidden by law, and people who transgressed should be punished. It started with a few voices but grew in popularity until it became unwritten and written law within the community. With those who were publicly declared as being not politically correct becoming the object of persecution by the mob, if not prosecution by the state."
Some would go further and call it a Marxist, totalitarian agenda. Its goal is to repress free thinking and speech, ushering in a more progressive, i.e., socialist or communist government here in America. The freedom to speak out about what is disliked or supported, regardless of what others may think is an American core value. This freedom is an anathema to Critical Theorists.
William S. Lind writes "Political Correctness is Cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960's and the hippies and the peace movement but to WWI. If we compare the basic tenants of Political Correctness to classic Marxism the parallels are very obvious.' Lind argues that political correctness has resulted in American citizens, particularly in academia, being "afraid of using the wrong word, a word denounced as offensive or insensitive, or racist, sexist, or homophobic," and that such changes can be attributed to the influence of cultural Marxists, who use the knife of Political Correctness to cut out those they deem unacceptable. The tactics are fear and intimidation. No one is exempt.
"California Polytechnic State Institute, which has already once been on the losing side of a free speech lawsuit, has suspended an unconstitutional program targeting professors and students whose speech is "biased" or not "politically correct." The program even planned to let students report complaints anonymously, meaning that those deemed "politically incorrect" might never have known whom they had offended or why. Under pressure from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), Cal Poly has promised that any future CARE-Net program "will not function to suppress controversial, offensive, or any other kind of protected speech. This program jeopardized students' and faculty members' human, legal, and academic rights as members of a public university," FIRE President Greg Lukianoff said. "Cal Poly should be commended for seeing what terrible consequences such inquisitions could have on its campus. We will be watching to make sure this program does not resurface in some other form"
Critical Theory promotes political correctness to suppress free speech in various ways. Juan Williams, a political commentator known for his leftist views on Fox News was fired from his position at National Public Radio for saying he was nervous when passengers on airplanes he was on wore "Muslim garb." Brent Bozell, President of the Media Research Center called his firing "outrageous," stating "Juan Williams has done nothing wrong. What he said echoes what the vast majority of Americans believe. It's their tax dollars that fund NPR. But NPR is ignoring them…."
American military policies are subjected to the insanity of defining the enemy in a non-threating, politically correct manner as well. The Judicial Watch, a watchdog organization that describes itself as "a conservative, non-partisan American educational foundation that promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law" reviewed the new United States Army manual for troops deployed in combat zones and found that making derogatory remarks about the enemy is taboo. "Here is a strong indicator that the Obama Administration's crusade to appease Islam has gone too far; a new U.S. military handbook for troops deployed to the Middle East orders soldiers not to make derogatory comments about the Taliban…." Judical Watch also warns that American law enforcement investigators are also being hamstrung by this folly. "Earlier this year the Obama Administration changed the way federal agents are trained to combat terrorism and violent extremism by eliminating all materials that shed a negative light on Muslims. Under White House orders, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) destroyed instructional material that characterizes Muslims as prone to violence or terrorism in a government-wide call to end Islamophobia" Jim Kouri comments,"This leaves many law enforcement officers incredulously asking: what kind of terrorism war is this? It seems national security and public safety are taking a back seat to political correctness which in turn thwarts our efforts to detect terrorists and their accomplices."
Those who would model America under a Marxist system cannot simply ask its citizens to surrender their liberties by acclimation or popular vote. What they can do is get the citizenry to fear speaking out against what is perceived as wrong, then begin making the more radical changes. If people fear to speak up against perceived tyranny, the tyrants have nothing to fear.
